About EE Home Broadband

Broadband speeds and kit

Speeds depend on what reaches your street. Part-fibre (FTTC) lines run at roughly 36-74 Mbps, while full fibre (FTTP) goes up to 1.6 Gbps. Plans include EE's Smart Hub router, and the quicker tiers upgrade you to the Wi-Fi 7 Smart Hub Pro. Check availability at your address before picking a package.

More than broadband

EE also sells handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 17, plus SIM-only plans. EE TV adds live sport through TNT Sports. Accessories include Beats Studio Pro headphones, Pixel Buds Pro and Galaxy smartwatches. There are 600+ EE stores if you'd rather talk to someone in person.

EE Home Broadband FAQs

How long until my EE broadband is working?

On average it takes about 14 days from placing the order to activation. The Smart Hub arrives by post on or before that day.

Will my monthly price change during the contract?

Yes. EE broadband prices go up by £4 a month each spring, so budget for that across a typical 24-month term.

Are there any upfront fees?

Activation fees of up to £20 can apply. The router itself is normally posted through your letterbox.

Can students pay less for EE broadband?

Yes, through Student Beans. A verified account unlocks a discount on Core broadband plans of 12 or 24 months, plus some SIM-only and pay monthly plans.

What if I change my mind after ordering?

You can cancel within the cooling-off period, but the equipment has to be returned. Contact customer service to arrange it.
