TGJones
TGJones is the new name for what used to be WHSmith on the UK high street. Modella Capital bought those shops and the online store in 2025, and the WHSmith brand continues only in travel retail. Online at tgjonesonline.co.uk and in its shops, TGJones stocks books, stationery, gifts, toys and games. Delivery is limited to UK addresses.

About TGJones
On the shelves
Books are a core line, and they can even be sent to UK prison addresses. Stationery runs from everyday supplies to a seasonal range for going back to school. Toys and games come partly from Toys "R" Us, whose ranges appear in 76 shops under an agreement. Gifts round things out, and the shops also stock magazines.
Some branches house Post Office counters, and Hobbycraft and Claire's concessions were announced in late 2025.
What changed from WHSmith
The takeover completed on 30 June 2025. TG Jones High Street Limited, the company that trades as TGJones, is based in Swindon. In 2026 the owner said up to 150 shops could close in a restructuring, so it is worth checking a local branch before visiting.
Delivery and returns
TGJones only delivers to UK addresses, though overseas customers can send an order to someone in the UK. Free delivery over £30 is promoted on the book and stationery sections. If an order ships in parts, there is no extra charge beyond what checkout showed.
Buyers have 30 calendar days from delivery to send back unopened items that are fit for resale. They can post them at their own cost and risk. Alternatively, a shop will take them with the order confirmation on paper or a phone. For orders worth £150 or more, customer services must issue a reference before anything is sent back. Periodicals and magazines are excluded. For the first six months after delivery, faulty goods are repaired or replaced, and the manufacturer's warranty applies after that.
