About World of Books
Condition and choice
Each listing carries a condition grade, running from Very Good down to Acceptable, with a note on that copy. Read it before buying a present, as a well-read paperback may not suit. Fiction is the strongest area, with crime, thrillers, romance, fantasy, modern fiction and the classics. Non-fiction, children's and educational titles fill out the shelves.
Delivery, returns and payment
UK delivery is free with no minimum spend, and books leave a UK warehouse. Overseas buyers can order too, paying a delivery charge based on destination. If a book arrives faulty or you are unhappy, contact customer service within 30 days to arrange a return. You pay return postage unless the mistake was the shop's own. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal are all accepted.
Extras worth knowing
WoB Plus membership adds member discounts and free premium delivery for frequent buyers. eGift cards are sold for book-loving friends. NHS staff and armed forces personnel can save through Blue Light Card. You can also sell unwanted books to the company, which values them and covers postage on accepted titles. World of Books says it rescues around 2.3 million books a month from landfill.
