MAIKA is a small American label making printed bags and accessories from recycled canvas. Every pattern starts as a drawing or painting by its studio team in Oakland, California. Totes in several shapes lead the range, joined by crossbody bags, pouches, tea towels and greeting cards. UK prices show in pounds, but parcels come from the US, so shipping and possible import fees matter.

The bags and the rest
Totes come in Essential, Commuter, Project, Carryall and Market shapes. Loop totes and Lunch + Pie bags add more options. Smaller carry includes crossbody bags, bum bags and backpacks. Little extras cover wine totes, Mini Cube key rings, card wallets and zip pouches. For the kitchen there are tea towels, and printed cards come from a collaboration with Pioneer Square Press.
Most bags follow one recipe. The canvas is recycled, the inks are pigment-based, the trims are vegan leather and the linings are waterproof and wipe clean. An inside strap clips onto a pouch or a set of keys, and defects in materials or workmanship are covered for a year.

Anyone after an illustrated print on a practical everyday bag. Under its Greater Good Pledge, MAIKA gives part of each quarter's proceeds to a chosen charity. Orders are packed by GHE Fulfillment, a warehouse employing adults with developmental disabilities.
Shipping and returns from the UK
UK orders use one international service, with the price set at checkout according to what is in the basket. In October 2026, one greeting card cost £18 to send, one Essential Tote £27 and one Carryall Tote £50. Dispatch takes 2 to 3 business days, with UPS or USPS carrying the parcel. Transit to the UK is then 6 to 10 business days. Import duties or customs fees may be collected on delivery.
Returns need approval first, by email to [email protected], no later than 30 days after delivery. Only unopened goods in original condition, or faulty ones, qualify. The buyer pays to post them to Illinois, and shipping is never refunded. Reduced-price items are final, and late returns are credited as a gift card.
