About Blackwells
Books for study and for pleasure
Academic titles are the heart of the business, with textbooks and specialist publications across the disciplines. University libraries and departments can open institutional accounts, use reading list services and order in bulk. A specialist team will also hunt for hard-to-find titles, including rare and out-of-print books.
For everyday reading, fiction runs from crime and thrillers to fantasy and romance. Non-fiction covers biography, history, art, fashion and photography, and astronomy and space. Younger readers have a Best of Children's section, and Manga & Graphic Novels get their own shelf. New releases and a Books of the Month selection keep the front page fresh.

Yes. Its specialist team searches for rare and out-of-print titles as well as hard-to-find academic books. That helps with older editions or niche research.
How much is UK delivery?
Delivery is free on UK orders over £20. Standard delivery takes 2 to 5 working days, and faster express options are offered.
Can I collect my order from a shop?
Yes. Click and collect to Blackwell's shops is free, so you can pick up an online order in person instead of waiting for a parcel.
Can textbooks be returned?
Undamaged books can go back within 30 days, but textbooks and custom orders may have restrictions, so check before ordering course books.
Does Blackwell's supply universities?
It does. Universities can set up institutional accounts, order in bulk and use reading list services for their students and staff.
