TruffleHunter
TruffleHunter grew out of a fascination with Italian truffles. Founders Nigel Whitehouse and Omi Pears started it in Italy in 2007, then moved production to Britain in 2010. It sells fresh seasonal truffles alongside oils, butter, sauces, snacks and gift sets, for home cooks and professional kitchens alike. Its products also appear in food halls and restaurants.

About TruffleHunter
Fresh or preserved
Fresh truffles are sold when in season and sourced from Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Black winter truffles, for example, run from November to March. Outside those windows, the preserved range does the work: whole black truffles, slices and minced truffle, sterilised rather than kept with artificial preservatives. Many products are made in the UK using European black and white truffles.
Ways to use it
Most items are designed as finishing touches, such as a drizzle of truffle oil just before serving. Others work as cooking ingredients. Look for oils and vinegar, truffle butter and other dairy, sauces and condiments, plus truffle pasta and snacks. Gift sets and gift cards cover presents for food lovers. In 2021 the company received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
Delivery and returns
UK delivery is free on orders over £25, and fresh truffles travel by express. Overseas orders go by DHL Express. Fresh products can't be returned, but non-perishable items can. Pay by card, PayPal or Apple Pay. Customer service is available on weekdays from 9am to 5pm.
