About Smyths Toys
What's on the shelves
Toys make up the bulk of the range: action figures, dolls, LEGO sets, puzzles and board games. Younger children are covered by Play-Doh and Disney lines. Outdoor play is well covered too, with trampolines, playhouses, scooters and bikes. A separate baby section stocks pushchairs, car seats, nursery essentials and first toys. Gamers can pick up consoles and new video games, and pre-orders are taken on games, consoles and popular toys.
Ordering and collecting
Baskets over £20 qualify for free delivery. Click and collect is also offered, which is handy for bulky things like a trampoline if a store is close by. Visa, Mastercard and PayPal are accepted at checkout. Smyths doesn't send orders abroad, so this is a shop for UK addresses.
Worth knowing
Unwanted items can come back within 28 days as long as you keep the receipt, and the window is extended over Christmas. Smyths will price match major UK toy retailers, so it's worth comparing before you check out. Gift cards are available, as is a Savings Card that lets families put money aside for a big purchase later in the year. The business started in 1986 and is still run by the Smyth family from Galway in Ireland.
