About Royal Horticultural Society
Plants, tools and books
The plant side covers bulbs, seeds and live plants, along with compost and care products. Tool shoppers will find spades, trowels and pruners. There is a large shelf of gardening books, plus homeware, gifts and outdoor living pieces for anyone who loves a garden. From 2026, RHS garden centres and its online plant shop sell only plants grown without new peat.
How delivery works
Plants travel from the nursery that grew them, so arrival times depend on the plant and the season. Other garden products come in a separate parcel. Delivery is free above £50. If a plant turns up in poor shape, send customer service your order number and photos, and a refund or replacement will be arranged. The shop delivers within the UK only.
Membership and gifts
RHS membership includes free entry to the five RHS gardens, Bridgewater, Hyde Hall, Rosemoor, Wisley and Harlow Carr, plus partner gardens around the country. Members also get The Garden magazine, an advice service and money off in RHS shops. Students can join for £20 a year with proof of study. Gift cards are available for gardening friends.

The RHS is committed to sustainable gardening and going peat-free. From 2026, all RHS Garden Centres and RHS Plants online will sell only no new peat plants.

Plants are posted directly from specialist UK nurseries, while other garden products are sent on their own. A mixed order can therefore arrive in more than one delivery.
What should I do if an RHS plant arrives damaged?
Contact customer service with your order number and photos of the problem. The RHS will arrange a refund or a replacement.
Is there a student rate for RHS membership?
Yes. Student membership costs £20 a year, and you will need to show valid proof that you are studying when you apply.
Does the RHS deliver abroad?
No. Orders from the RHS online shop are delivered within the UK only, with free delivery above £50.
