About Gardening Direct
What you can grow
Seasonal bedding is the backbone of the range, alongside climbing plants for walls and fences. Shrubs add structure that lasts beyond one season, and fruit trees suit people who want to grow their own. Collections group plants together, and pre-planted options save time for busy gardeners. Each plant comes with a care guide, and horticultural experts keep adding new varieties.
How plants are grown
Many plants start life at the company's Lincolnshire nursery. Others are sourced from growers in the UK and overseas. Gardening Direct uses peat-free or reduced-peat compost where it can.
Before you order
Delivery is free above a minimum order value, so check the current threshold before you buy. Some remote postcodes may pay a surcharge, and deliveries are UK only. Living plants can vary slightly in specification through the year. Returns are accepted for items that arrive faulty or not as described. Visa, Mastercard and PayPal are accepted, and gift cards can be bought. Regular customers can join the VIP Rewards loyalty programme, and there are student and NHS discounts.
Sustainability at Gardening Direct
Gardening Direct uses peat-free and reduced-peat compost where possible and employs sustainable growing practices at their nurseries.
