About Magformers & Stick-O Toys
Two ranges, two age groups
Stick-O is aimed at the youngest builders. Its large, easy-grip pieces suit children from 18 months, though some sets with smaller parts are marked 36 months and up. Magformers is for ages 3 and over, with shapes that click together to form cubes and more ambitious structures. Check the compatibility notes before mixing the two systems.
What children get from it
Magnetic building gives hands-on practice with shapes and colours. The brand highlights STEM skills, spatial awareness, problem-solving and fine motor control. Magnets are securely enclosed, though young children should still be supervised during play. The pieces are designed for durability, so sets can be handed down.
