About Hurtigruten
Routes to choose from
The Coastal Express runs daily between Bergen and Kirkenes, calling at up to 34 ports. Stops range from ten minutes to four hours, enough for a quick look at a harbour town or a longer wander ashore. Two further routes, the Svalbard Line and The North Cape Line, push further north, and expedition cruises bring an onboard Expedition Team to guide you. Northern Lights sightings are most likely from October to March.
What the fare covers
On board, Norway's Coastal Kitchen serves dishes built on regional ingredients picked up along the way. Accommodation, meals, lectures and some excursions are covered, and on many sailings food and drink are all-inclusive.
Booking from the UK
Booking confirmation arrives by email, with paper documents posted where needed. Cancellation terms differ from cruise to cruise, and flexible booking options exist. Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or bank transfer. A UK-based team answers phones and email 24 hours a day. NHS staff and UK military personnel and veterans have dedicated reductions, and returning guests can join the 1893 Ambassador programme.
