The brands differ in feel. Waldorf Astoria and Conrad are the luxury names, Curio Collection groups individual hotels, and Canopy by Hilton has a lifestyle angle. Many properties have restaurants, bars, gyms, pools, spas and event spaces used for weddings and conferences. Facilities vary by hotel, so check the listing for the one you want.
Booking and cancelling
You can book at hilton.com, in the Hilton Honors app, by phone or through a travel agent, and confirmation arrives by email straight away. Cancellation terms depend on the rate. On most standard rates you can cancel without charge up to 24 to 48 hours ahead of arrival. Bookings paid upfront or made at an advance purchase rate, however, may carry no refund. Hilton also runs a price match guarantee for bookings made on its own site. Payment can be by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Diners Club, and Hilton gift cards and Honors points can be used too.
Membership and support
Hilton Honors is free to join and adds member rates, points towards free nights, digital check-in with room selection and free Wi-Fi. Students verified through Student Beans and Blue Light Card holders can get reduced rates. Customer service is open around the clock on 0800 856 8000.

Hilton's Travel with Purpose ESG strategy aims to halve its environmental footprint and double its social impact investment by 2030. The company was the first major hotel brand to set Science Based Targets for greenhouse gas reduction in line with the Paris Agreement. Since 2009, efficiency initiatives have saved over $1.38 billion in energy, water and waste costs. In 2023, Hilton exceeded its 2030 waste reduction goal with a 63.7% decrease in landfilled waste across managed hotels.
