Most of its properties are in city centres, in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Bath and London, and a few sit in quieter rural settings. Rooms and suites are modern and spacious, and several hotels add a gym, leisure facilities or a spa. The first Apex opened in Edinburgh's Grassmarket in 1996.
