Escentric Molecules

Escentric Molecules is the London fragrance house behind Molecule 01, a scent built on a single aroma-molecule, Iso E Super. Perfumer Geza Schoen founded the brand in 2006, and its stripped-back idea earned a cult following. The official shop sells the full fragrance line plus bodycare. It suits anyone who prefers a quiet skin scent to a loud, complicated perfume.

About Escentric Molecules

The fragrances explained

Molecule 01 is the starting point. It contains one ingredient, which reads as soft, velvety cedarwood and changes with each wearer's skin. Escentric 01 uses more of that same molecule and builds other notes around it. The M+ series pairs Molecule 01 with one natural extract: red champaca flower, resinous cistus or earthy patchouli. Bodycare products carry the scents beyond the bottle.

Ordering online

Each order comes with two free samples, a low-risk way to test another scent before buying a full size. You can add a personalised note if the bottle is a present. UK orders above a set value ship free, and delivery to other countries is available. Returns are accepted within 14 days, but only for unopened products, so try the samples before breaking a seal. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal are all accepted.

Customer service works 9am to 5pm GMT, Monday to Friday, by phone and email. Students can verify their status for a discount, and NHS staff have a separate scheme. The brand is also stocked by other retailers and concessions, and the company behind it is This Company Limited.

Escentric Molecules FAQs

What does Molecule 01 smell like?

It is built from one aroma-molecule, Iso E Super, which gives a soft, velvety cedarwood effect. Because it reacts with skin, it comes across slightly differently on each person.

Will I get samples with my order?

Yes. Escentric Molecules adds two complimentary samples to every order, so you can try another fragrance from the range before committing to a full bottle.

Can I send back a fragrance I have opened?

No. Returns are accepted within 14 days, but products must be unopened. Test the samples first if you are unsure about a scent.

Does Escentric Molecules ship outside the UK?

Yes, international delivery is offered. UK orders over a minimum spend travel free, and the current threshold is shown at checkout.
