CODE Beautiful is a British makeup brand founded by Welsh sisters Sarah and Emma Cross, who started it after growing tired of products that failed to match their advertising. Its web store is run by CODE Beautiful Limited, Companies House number 08209755, and the brand says everything it makes is vegan and cruelty-free.

What CODE Beautiful sells

• Eye products: VLM Volumising Lengthening Mascara, the FFL Forget Fake Lashes lash primer and LLE Lid Lift Enhance, which works as a concealer, an eyelid primer and an eyeshadow
• NBD Natural Brow Definer, a brow gel sold in several shades
• Lip and cheek products: HTG Hydrate Tint Glow, a two-in-one tint, and the LIP Lip Intense Plumper, a lip treatment made with hyaluronic acid
• Ready-made sets such as the Lash Kit, Instant Eye Lift Kit and 5 Minute Makeup Kit, plus a build-your-own bundle
• Shampoo and conditioner for grey and silver hair, a makeup bag and e-gift cards

The brand also runs in-person sessions: a Makeup Club for groups of at least three people and one-to-one product advice with founder Sarah. Its site groups products by concern, such as hooded eyes, dark circles and short or thinning lashes.

Delivery and returns

CODE Beautiful's shipping policy prices UK delivery by Royal Mail 48 at £1.95, with free delivery on orders over £30. Orders placed before 1pm, Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays, are dispatched the same day. International parcels travel by Royal Mail International Tracked for £9.95, take up to 14 working days and are also free over £30; EU buyers can face import VAT, which the brand does not cover.

The returns page gives a 14-day money-back promise. Shoppers request a return by email within 14 days, quoting the order number, and pay their own return postage, and refunds follow within 7 working days of the parcel arriving. Faulty items must be reported within 7 days with photos, and nothing should be posted back before a returns number is issued. The policy adds that not getting the advertised results does not make a product faulty.
