About Burns Pet Nutrition
Recipes by age and need
Dog food is split by life stage: puppy, adult and senior. Within those, there are Weight Control, Grain Free, Sensitive, Working Dog and Original recipes. It comes in dry and wet versions. Cats have kitten and adult recipes, and treats include YAKERS dog chews. Burns leaves out artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, and publishes feeding guides and advice on switching food.
How the company works
Burns describes itself as a carbon negative food supplier and uses recyclable packaging, with guides to recycling the bags. It was the first UK pet food business to pay the real Living Wage. It also gives 25% of its profits to good causes via the Burns Pet Nutrition Foundation.
Ordering and support
Order before midday on a weekday and mainland UK delivery normally takes two to three days. Free delivery applies above a minimum spend, so check the current figure at checkout. If a food does not suit your pet, contact customer care, as satisfaction is guaranteed. The team works Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Subscribe & Save handles repeat orders, and the Puppy Club gives new owners free food and advice. Burns food is also sold by more than 6,000 stockists.
