About Trustedhousesitters

TrustedHousesitters is a leading online community marketplace connecting pet parents with caring, verified pet sitters across the globe. Founded in 2010 by Andy Peck, the platform was inspired by the simple idea of ensuring pets could stay happy and comfortable in their own homes while their owners travelled. With over 280,000 members in 180 countries, TrustedHousesitters has facilitated millions of nights of pet sitting, building a reputation for trust, community, and mutual benefit. They are committed to animal welfare and reducing environmental impact, proudly holding B Corp Certification. How TrustedHousesitters Works The core of TrustedHousesitters' service is a unique exchange: pet parents offer free accommodation in their homes in return for a sitter providing loving care for their pets. This model provides immense benefits to both parties. Pet parents gain peace of mind knowing their animals receive one-on-one attention in a familiar environment, avoiding the stress and cost of kennels. Sitters enjoy authentic travel experiences and free accommodation, allowing them to explore new destinations while indulging their love for animals. The platform supports a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, poultry, and horses, making it a versatile pet care solution for many. Membership and Community Benefits Becoming a member of TrustedHousesitters unlocks access to a vibrant, supportive community. An annual membership plan allows pet parents to find verified and reviewed sitters, while sitters can browse and apply for house sitting opportunities worldwide. The platform prioritises safety and trust, offering resources like a dedicated Help Desk and an award-winning Membership Services team. This commitment to support ensures a smooth and rewarding experience for all members, whether you're looking for dog sitters UK or international house sitting jobs.
