Summer Away makes holiday clothes for women in Mumbai, working with local artisans. Midi and maxi dresses lead the collection, joined by linen tops, two-piece sets and sandals. The label was started in 2019 by Meghna Goyal, under the name Summer Somewhere, and became Summer Away in January 2025. UK orders are billed in pounds and ship from Mumbai with import duties already paid.

About Summer Away
The collection
Dresses are the largest part of the range, in midi, maxi, floral and linen styles. Tops cover linen and going-out looks, with trousers, skirts, shorts and matching two-piece sets. Footwear means wedges, flats and heeled sandals. Edits group pieces by theme: date night, occasionwear, floral and linen.
A Global Indian profile lists linen, organic cotton certified to GOTS, viscose and Tencel Lyocell among its fabrics. The brand uses azo-free dyes, makes only what it expects to sell and has been plastic-neutral since launch through ReCircle.
Fit and sizing
Each product page lists garment measurements in inches, taken flat. A few older garments may still be labelled Summer Somewhere.
Before ordering from the UK
Allow 1 to 2 business days for processing, then 7 to 10 business days in transit with FedEx. Someone must sign for the parcel. Because shipping is delivery duty paid, there is no import bill on arrival. In October 2026 standard shipping cost £12 on a £107 basket, and a £113 basket travelled free.
Returns are strict. Items must be lodged and posted within 14 days of delivery, unworn with tags and packaging. Money comes back only as store credit, loaded onto a gift card that lasts 12 months. There are no exchanges, return postage is the buyer's cost, and final pieces are non-returnable unless faulty. For a fault, email a photo and the order number to [email protected].
Sustainability at Summer Away
Plastic-neutral since launch through a partnership with ReCircle, which Summer Away says has recovered 3,130 kg of plastic (Global Indian); the brand's About page describes a 'no-leftover' production policy.

Summer Away FAQs
Is Summer Away the same brand as Summer Somewhere?
Yes. Meghna Goyal launched the label as Summer Somewhere in 2019, and the name changed to Summer Away in January 2025. Some garments still have the old label sewn in.
Does Summer Away give cash refunds?
No. Refunds for accepted returns come as store credit, loaded onto a gift card that can be spent for 12 months. Faulty pieces are the exception: Summer Away swaps them, or refunds them when it cannot.
Does Summer Away need a signature on delivery?
Yes. FedEx carries UK orders and asks for a signature. Delivery takes 7 to 10 business days after 1 to 2 business days of processing in Mumbai.
