SMEG
Smeg's UK online shop sells the Italian maker's appliances direct. The family-owned company was founded in Guastalla in 1948, and its name is an acronym of Smalterie Metallurgiche Emiliane Guastalla. Most shoppers know it for retro-style fridges and toasters, but the shop also covers serious cooking appliances and a newer cookware line.

Small appliances
Countertop kit is the heart of the online range. Expect kettles, toasters, blenders, mixers and food preparation tools, plus espresso and bean-to-cup coffee machines. Compact countertop ovens, soda makers and portable induction hobs complete the line-up, along with breakfast and coffee accessories.
Large appliances and cookware
For a bigger kitchen project, Smeg also makes ovens, hobs, range cookers, dishwashers, fridges and freezers. Large items travel with specialist couriers. A newer line of pots and pans is designed to sit alongside the appliances.
Buying direct
Delivery is free on most appliances. Unused items in their original packaging can go back within 14 days, and faulty goods are handled through customer service. A warranty is included, interest-free finance can spread the cost, and Blue Light Card holders get a dedicated discount. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal are accepted. To see products in person before ordering, Smeg runs UK showrooms on Regent Street in London and in Abingdon.
