The Stereo Hybrid ONE77 HPC SLT leaves nothing on the table in its pursuit of big-mountain riding perfection. The mullet wheelset is built around a pair of Newmen Phase 30 carbon wheels, shod with Schwalbe's tough and tenaciously grippy Magic Mary and Albert 2.5in tyres. That's a good thing, because the Magura Gustav Pro hydraulic disc brakes need all the traction they can get to deliver their safe, predictable stopping power.There's a remote dropper seatpost, of course, so that you can take the more adventurous line. Sram's XX Eagle Transmission 1x12 gears are driven via a Race Face Era carbon crank – and assistance from Bosch's smooth, quiet CX-R drive and 800Wh PowerTube battery – for quick, precise electronic shifts. With Fox's 38 Factory fork and Float X2 Factory shock delivering 170mm of plush, well-controlled travel at each wheel, it's safe to say that the rest comes down to you. Are you up for it?Frame descriptionThe Stereo Hybrid ONE77 HPC frame – with 170mm travel front and rear and a mullet wheel set-up with 29in front and 27.5in rear – is all you need for big days out on big mountain trails. But, as with all CUBE designs, the devil is in the detail. So, for example, we added Integrated Cable Routing for super-clean looks, and then threw in an angle-adjustable headset so that you can tweak the handling to your taste.The 800Wh PowerTube battery sits unobtrusively in the carbon down tube, just above the Bosch CX-R drive. A UDH dropout on the aluminium rear triangle is tough and future-proof, and we also added a Direct Mount chain guide to keep you driving forwards even when the going gets rough.Bosch Performance Update 2.0Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easy.Once you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals. Bosch are also adding more features and connectivity options, including Garmin integration and new power supply options.One thing worth keeping in mind — more power means more stress on drivetrain components, so increased wear is expected over time.
