Tickets are booked online, and the ticket type you choose decides how flexible your trip is.

About National Express Coaches

Choosing a ticket

Three ticket types shape what you can change later. With a Fully Flexible ticket, both changes and refunds are handled in My Account. A Standard ticket can be changed there too, though the Customer Contact Centre won't refund it. Restricted fares are generally non-refundable. Whatever the type, the start and end points of a journey are fixed once booked, so check them before paying. Fares can be paid with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal.

On the coach

A suitcase and a piece of hand luggage are included in every fare. Children under 14 must travel with someone aged 16 or over. Those aged 14 or 15 may ride alone between 5am and 10pm. They need proof of age or written permission signed by a parent or guardian. Most stops are accessible to wheelchair users. Call at least 36 hours before travel to confirm your needs can be met.

Help and concessions

Live Chat runs seven days a week from 8am to 6pm, and the FAQ pages answer most common questions. Phone lines cover general enquiries and new bookings. Students can get reduced fares by verifying through TOTUM, UNiDAYS, Student Beans or Prime Offers. They must book online at least 24 hours ahead. Serving armed forces members can save through the Defence Discount Service. A Disabled Coachcard is also available. Gift cards are not sold.
