About Kuhn Rikon
Pots and pans
The Duromatic pressure cooker is the piece most people know. Kuhn Rikon says it uses up to 70% less energy than an ordinary pot. Around it sit stainless steel saucepans and frying pans with a choice of uncoated, non-stick or ceramic surfaces. The New Life frying pan is made entirely from recycled aluminium. The Durotherm and Hotpan ranges hold their heat, which the brand puts at up to 60% energy savings. Cookware bought in the UK carries a Limited Lifetime Guarantee against manufacturing faults, although pressure cookers are left out of it.
Knives and hand tools
The gadget side is where the colour comes in. Expect can openers, graters, peelers, slicers, whisks and spatulas, plus the brightly coloured Colori knives, known for a sharp edge.
