Jackery
Jackery makes portable power stations and solar panels, and its UK store sells them direct. Pair the two and you get a solar generator that runs kit off-grid or keeps essentials going in a power cut. The brand was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in California. Campers, caravanners, narrowboat owners and householders planning for outages are the obvious fit.

About Jackery
Choosing a power station
Two ranges cover most needs. The Explorer v2 line starts with the small Explorer 240 v2 and tops out at the Explorer 3000 v2. The 500, 1000 and 2000 sit in between. These use LiFePO4 batteries, valued for long cycle life and thermal stability. The Explorer Plus models, such as the 1000 Plus and 2000 Plus, can be expanded up to 12kWh. That suits longer outages or bigger loads.
Adding solar
SolarSaga panels connect to the power stations to recharge them from the sun, turning a battery into a solar generator. That setup suits camping, fishing trips, a caravan pitch or a backup plan for the home.
