DC HOUSE

Picking a battery

Start with capacity: a higher amp-hour rating stores more energy. Then check the features you need. Many models have Bluetooth, so you can watch the battery from your phone. Look for a state of charge indicator and low-temperature protection for cold conditions.

Compared with lead-acid batteries, lithium iron phosphate units are lighter, last for more charge cycles and are considered safer.

Where they are used

The range is designed for RV and campervan power systems, golf carts and trolling motors on boats. Golf cart owners can use them to extend range. The brand also pitches its batteries as part of a move to greener, solar-friendly power and energy independence.
