Dartington Crystal
Dartington Crystal has made glass in North Devon since 1967. It still runs what it describes as the only large-scale glass factory left in the UK. The shop sells wine glasses, decanters, vases and bowls with a Scandinavian-influenced look, plus engraved pieces for presents. It is a sensible stop for wedding and anniversary gifts.

About Dartington Crystal
From the factory
The business began as Dartington Glass, a social enterprise set up by the Dartington Hall Trust, and drew on Scandinavian design from the start. Drinkware is the backbone: wine glasses, champagne flutes, tumblers and decanters. Handmade vases and bowls cover the home side. A seconds range offers pieces with minor imperfections that don't affect everyday use.
Personalised and corporate gifts
Engraving turns a glass or decanter into a personal present for birthdays, weddings or anniversaries. Companies use the same service for recognition awards. Bear in mind that personalised items can't be returned.
Delivery and returns at a glance
Dartington delivers within the UK only, and standard delivery is free above a minimum spend, so check the current threshold when you order. Unused items in their original packaging can go back within 30 days. Customer service runs Monday to Friday, and payment is by Visa, Mastercard or PayPal. Students verified through Student Beans, NHS staff, Blue Light Card holders and the military can all claim discounts. If you are in Devon, the visitor centre lets you see the range in person.
