Two kinds of pork snack
Cool Hog sells both styles that pub-snack fans argue about. Traditional scratchings are the hard, dense type, fried with the fat still on the rind. Pork crunch is the airy alternative, using skin that has had most of its fat removed.
Flavour options run from bacon to habanero chilli, plus a salt and black pepper version. The Big 'n' Mix bundle packs three 500g bags that reseal, and there are protein bundles and a mystery box for the curious. Jar owners can top up with refill bags.
The sweet side
Sweets and candy arrived in 2023, followed by fudge and cookies in 2024. A build-your-own cookie box lets you choose the mix. Cool Hog says its scratchings keep for 4 to 5 months, while the sweets last 10 to 12 months. The brand also pitches its scratchings at people following keto.
