amaran
amaran makes LED lighting for video makers, vloggers and photographers, and belongs to the Aputure family of lighting brands. Its own store, amarancreators.com, sells everything from pocket-sized lights for vlogging to COB fixtures powerful enough for larger sets, along with the softboxes and other modifiers that shape the light.
About amaran
Picking the right light
The range splits by job. COB lights such as the Ray 360c and 660c give the most output for bigger scenes. Mini lights like the Ace 25c and the amaran GO are small enough to carry for filming on location. Panels such as the Verge Max and Pano 120c, the PT4c tube and the F22c LED mat complete the line-up. The brand puts the emphasis on colour accuracy, brightness and simple control.
Who it suits
Creators setting up a home studio and those who film on the move are the main audience, from first-time vloggers to people making professional-level content. Photographers and filmmakers who want one brand for lights and modifiers will find both here.
