About Western Digital
Picking the right drive
Hard disk drives offer large capacities, which suits backups, media libraries and NAS units. SSDs are faster and help with boot times and game loading. External drives make portable backup easy and work with both Mac and PC. Creative professionals can look at G-DRIVE, the rugged high-speed line formerly sold as SanDisk Professional. SanDisk itself covers flash products such as memory cards and USB sticks. Larger buyers will find enterprise drives built for data centre and AI workloads.
Ordering and returns
Standard and express delivery are offered, with costs depending on product and destination. Storage products ship free. Purchases from the online store can be returned within 30 days if they are in original condition. Faulty drives go through a warranty claim instead, which needs an RMA number from support first. Warranty length is typically two to five years, depending on the model. Checkout accepts American Express alongside Visa, Mastercard and PayPal.
Extras
Students, apprentices and teachers can get a reduced price through Youth Discount. Businesses can join the Western Digital Pro Rewards programme for tiered pricing. Support is available by chat, and data recovery is offered through partner services.
Sustainability at Western Digital
Western Digital is committed to environmental responsibility through energy-efficient products, responsible manufacturing, and recycling programmes for end-of-life products.
