THEGATHER

THEGATHER is a young women's knitwear label working out of Harrow in north-west London. It makes cardigans and jumpers in natural fibres, producing each style in a limited quantity rather than in bulk. Around the knits sit hats, gloves, cotton tees and a couple of tools for looking after woollens. A gift card covers anyone buying for someone else.

About THEGATHER

The knits

Lambswool cardigans and cashmere jumpers form the heart of the range. The Poppy cardigan comes in a regular knit and a heavier Chunky Poppy, which is pure lambswool. The Maggie V-neck and the striped Stevie crewneck mix cashmere with wool, and the Josie jumper and Jackie vest sit alongside them. Smaller pieces round out an order: beanies, a bonnet-style hat, gloves, a cotton tote, organic cotton tees and the Maisie polo T-shirt.

Fibres, making and aftercare

The label works with four fibres only: Scottish lambswool, cashmere, merino and organic cotton. It says its factory partners meet recognised social and environmental standards, with some garments made in Britain and others overseas. For care, there are cedar balls made by Norfolk Natural Living, plus a knitwear comb. A TG gift card is available too, though it cannot be refunded.

Before you order

UK standard delivery is £3.50 for 3 to 5 working days, and express is £5 for 1 to 2. Spending £200 or more removes the delivery charge. Orders are packed within a working day, and tracking details arrive by email once they ship. Shoppers abroad can pick from 45 countries, with courier costs shown at checkout and duties left to the buyer.

Returns need approval first, so email [email protected] within 14 days of the parcel arriving. Anything sent back should be unworn with tags still on, in its packaging, along with proof of purchase. The buyer pays postage back, and approved refunds are paid to the card used inside 10 business days.

THEGATHER FAQs

Can I pay for faster THEGATHER delivery?

Yes. Express costs £5 and is quoted at 1 to 2 working days, against £3.50 for standard, which takes 3 to 5. Baskets worth £200 or more travel free.

Is THEGATHER knitwear made in Britain?

Partly. The label says some pieces are made in the UK and some abroad, by factories meeting recognised social and environmental standards. Each style is produced in a limited run.

What are THEGATHER cardigans and jumpers made of?

The Chunky Poppy is knitted from 100% lambswool. Cashmere and wool are combined in the Maggie and the Stevie. Organic cotton is kept for the tees, and merino also appears on the label's fibre list.

Can a THEGATHER item be posted back without asking first?

No. A return has to be approved by email to [email protected] within 14 days of delivery, and parcels sent without approval are refused. Gift cards and personalised items cannot be returned at all.

Where is THEGATHER based?

In Harrow, north-west London. The company behind the label, The Gather Shop Ltd, was incorporated in October 2024. The brand's own story page puts its founding in 2025.
