Camassia Leichtlinii Caerulea 3 Bulbs, Blue

Camassia leichtlinii subsp. suksdorfii Caerulea Group is an elegant bulbous perennial that produces slender spikes of star-shaped violet-blue flowers above neat clumps of strap-like foliage. Despite its long botanical name, this variety is easy to grow and makes an attractive addition to the garden. Flowering between spring bulbs and summer perennials, Camassia Caerulea Group is ideal for damp borders and naturalising in flower meadows. The tall flower spikes also provide useful height and structure in informal planting schemes. How to Grow Plant Camassia bulbs approximately 15cm (6in) deep in fertile, reliably moist soil in full sun or semi shade. Improve poor soil before planting by incorporating plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. Keep the soil moist during the growing season, particularly during dry periods. Avoid areas where the soil becomes waterlogged over winter, as excessively wet conditions can cause the bulbs to rot. Height: 130cm (51"). Spread: 10cm (4").
