Octave Barrels 2018 Bot.2021 Single Malt Australian Whisky

70cl / 48% - A 2018-vintage Australian single malt from Starward distillery that was matured in small octave barrels that previously held The Octavius Shiraz from Yalumba, before being bottled in 2021 as part of the Starward Projects series. Aromas of stewed apples, rhubarb, plums, star anise, honey, raspberry jam and sultanas fill the nose, complemented by notes of red grapes, icing sugar, candied orange peel, boiled sweets, orange and mint leaves throughout the palate.
