Decking End Grain Preserver

The Ronseal Decking End Grain Preserver is a specialised wood treatment designed to protect freshly cut decking boards from moisture damage and decay. This protective solution guards against rot, decay and fungal growth at vulnerable cut ends, ensuring the structural integrity of timber decking remains strong over time. When decking boards are cut to size during installation, the exposed end grain becomes highly susceptible to water penetration. This preserver creates a protective barrier at these critical points, sealing the wood fibres against moisture ingress. The green-tinted formula provides visual confirmation of coverage during application. This treatment is ideal for professional decking installers and landscapers working on outdoor timber projects. The 750ml bottle provides sufficient coverage for typical residential decking installations. Once applied and dried, the preserved ends can be over painted with decking stain or oil, allowing for seamless integration with your chosen finish whilst maintaining maximum weather protection beneath.
