1981 Old Sherry Cask Provenance Islay Whisky

70cl / 43% / McGibbon's - This Port Ellen 1981 was bottled by Douglas McGibbon under its Provenance series. It was matured in sherry casks, imparting notes of dried fruits, spices, and a subtle wisp of smoke. The palate delivers rich flavours of dark chocolate, dried figs, and a faint maritime character, with a long, warming finish that leaves a lasting impression. Port Ellen whiskies like these are becoming increasingly rare.
