Empreinte French Single Malt Whisky

70cl / 42.5% - Based alongside the Loire a few miles upstream of Angers, La Piautre are France’s only organic maltster, brewery and distillery. An experimental single malt made with La Piautre’s own floor-malted barley, distilled in two direct wood-heated Charentais stills and then matured in one of the region’s troglodyte cellars before spending time in Chenin barrels. Lush aromas of shortbread, pears and jam flow into a rounded palate, persisting to a finish garnished with a touch of pepper.
