Stainless Steel Rockery Trowel

The Kew Gardens Stainless Steel Rockery Trowel is a specialist hand tool designed for planting and transplanting in rockeries and confined garden spaces. Developed through collaboration between Spear & Jackson and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, this trowel combines horticultural expertise with traditional British tool manufacturing quality. The mirror polished stainless steel head slips effortlessly through soil and resists rust, making it particularly well-suited to the damp conditions often encountered in rockery work. Its narrow profile allows precise planting and weeding in tight spaces between rocks and established plants, whilst the polished finish ensures easy cleaning after use. Built with durability in mind, the trowel features an FSC certified ash wood handle that has been weather-proofed for extended outdoor use. The longer tang design provides enhanced leverage when working in compacted soil, and a leather wrist strap allows convenient storage when moving around the garden. This makes it an ideal choice for professional landscapers and gardeners working with alpine plants, rock gardens, and container planting.
