Geared Hedge Shears 8170KEW

The Kew Gardens Geared Hedge Shears are professional-grade garden shears designed for efficient hedge trimming and topiary work. Produced by Spear & Jackson in collaboration with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, these shears combine horticultural expertise with traditional British tool manufacturing quality to deliver a reliable cutting tool for maintaining hedges throughout the growing season. Part of the Razorsharp series, these hedge shears feature a geared mechanism that multiplies cutting force, making them particularly suitable for extended trimming sessions where user fatigue can be an issue. The C50 carbon steel blades maintain a sharp cutting edge over time, whilst the PTFE coating on the upper blade provides rust resistance and reduces friction during use. The lightweight aluminium handles keep the overall weight down without compromising strength, and the soft feel grips ensure comfortable handling during prolonged use. Ideal for professional groundskeepers, landscape gardeners, and committed home gardeners maintaining formal hedges or topiary, these shears offer a practical balance of cutting performance and user comfort.
