Carbon Steel Dutch Hoe

The Kew Gardens Carbon Steel Dutch Hoe is a professional-quality garden tool designed for efficient weeding and soil cultivation. Developed through a collaboration between Spear & Jackson and the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, this hoe combines horticultural expertise with traditional British tool manufacturing heritage to deliver exceptional performance for maintaining gardens throughout the year. The solid forged carbon steel head is at least 50% stronger than stainless steel alternatives, providing superior durability for demanding ground work. A hammer finished epoxy coating protects the blade against rust, humidity and alkalis commonly found in soil, extending the tool's working life. The dual chamfered edges enable effective hoeing on both forward and backward strokes, increasing efficiency and reducing user fatigue during extended use. The 1524mm FSC certified ash shaft has been weather-proofed for enhanced durability in outdoor conditions. This extended length significantly reduces the need for bending during operation, helping to prevent back strain during prolonged garden maintenance tasks. A leather wrist strap facilitates convenient storage when not in use, making this hoe ideal for professional groundskeepers, landscapers and keen gardeners who demand reliable, ergonomic tools.
