1983 Samurai Sherry Cask Bot.2014 Japanese Whisky

70cl / 59.1% - An exceptionally rare single malt from the now-closed Karuizawa distillery, this 1983 whisky captures the intense character that made the producer legendary. The dramatic temperature swings of the Japanese Alps played a key role in shaping its deeply concentrated flavour. Matured in first-fill sherry casks for decades, it was finally bottled in 2014 by The Whisky Exchange – a remarkable piece of whisky history.
