HSS Cobalt Drill Bit 9mm Pack 1

The Irwin 9mm HSS Cobalt Drill Bit is perfect for larger diameter drilling in stainless steel and other high alloys, providing robust performance for heavy-duty metalworking applications. This size is commonly used for substantial clearance holes, pilot holes for larger drilling operations, and general fabrication work in demanding materials. The drill bit body is manufactured from premium HSS steel containing 5% Cobalt, which significantly enhances the red hardness (heat resistance) of the bit and delivers extended service life. This Cobalt content allows the bit to maintain its cutting edge even under the high temperatures generated during drilling operations in stainless steel and other challenging materials. Featuring 135° split point grinding, this bit ensures perfect centring on your mark from the first contact, reducing the drilling pressure required and eliminating bit walk. The industrial quality ground flute design facilitates high accuracy drilling and fast chip removal, preventing clogging and maintaining cutting performance throughout use. The attractive golden tempered surface finish reflects the superior heat treatment process that gives this bit its enhanced performance characteristics for professional metalworking applications.
