HSS Cobalt Drill Bit 2.5mm Pack 2

The Irwin 2.5mm HSS Cobalt Drill Bit excels when drilling stainless steel and other high alloy materials, offering a popular diameter for a wide range of metalworking applications. This size is particularly useful for small bolts, rivets, and general fabrication work in demanding materials. Supplied in a pack of 2 for added convenience. The drill bit body is manufactured from premium HSS steel containing 5% Cobalt, which significantly enhances the red hardness (heat resistance) of the bit and delivers extended service life when working with tough materials. This Cobalt content allows the bit to maintain its cutting edge even under the high temperatures generated when drilling stainless steel. Featuring 135° split point grinding, this bit ensures perfect centring and reduced drilling pressure, making it easier to achieve accurate hole placement without centre punching. The industrial quality ground flute design facilitates high accuracy drilling and fast chip removal, preventing clogging and maintaining performance. The attractive golden tempered surface finish reflects the superior heat treatment process.
