Extension Bar 10mm 25mm Auger Drill Bits

The Irwin Extension Bar is designed to extend the reach of auger drill bits from 10mm to 25mm diameter, making it ideal for drilling through deep joists, thick beams and other applications where standard bit length is insufficient. This professional-grade extension delivers 450mm of additional working length, allowing tradespeople to tackle deep drilling tasks without requiring specialised long-pattern bits. The hex shank design ensures a secure, slip-free connection in the drill chuck, maintaining drilling accuracy even under load. This positive drive engagement is essential for auger bit applications where torque transmission must be reliable throughout extended drilling operations. The extension works seamlessly with Irwin auger bits and other compatible hex-shank auger bits within the specified diameter range. Suitable for carpenters, electricians and builders working on timber frame construction, renovation projects or installations requiring cable and pipe runs through structural timbers. The 450mm extension proves particularly useful when drilling floor joists from above or when working in confined spaces where positioning a longer bit would be impractical.
