What is Hibiwash 5Ltr? Hibiwash 5Ltr is an antimicrobial preparation containing 4% chlorhexidine gluconate. It is intended for pre-operative surgical hand disinfection, antiseptic hand washing on the ward, and pre- and post-operative skin antisepsis for patients undergoing elective surgery. This pack contains 5 litres. Chlorhexidine gluconate has a wide range of antimicrobial activity and has been used for many decades in hospitals. It is not absorbed into the skin but binds to it, forming a protective layer that continues to work for a long period after application, and unlike povidone iodine it is not inactivated by bodily fluids. Chlorhexidine Gluconate 4%. What are the other Ingredients? Contains emollients. Colour, fragrance and traces of soya oil have been removed from the formulation. For hand disinfection and skin antisepsis, apply to the area as directed, then rinse as instructed on the label.
