Soft Grip Round Shank Square Tip Bradawl

The Faithfull Soft Grip Round Shank Square Tip Bradawl is a precision hand tool designed for creating pilot holes in wood before inserting screws. This square-tipped bradawl, also known as a birdcage awl, offers faster penetration than traditional chisel-tipped versions, making it ideal for carpenters, joiners and general woodworking applications. The tapered square tip design allows for a continuous reaming action when using the recommended push and twist technique. Unlike chisel tip bradawls that simply push and ream, the square shape creates a cleaner, more controlled pilot hole that helps prevent wood splitting and ensures accurate screw placement. Fitted with a comfortable soft grip handle, this bradawl reduces hand fatigue during repetitive tasks and provides better control when working with hardwoods or dense materials. The round shank construction offers durability for regular workshop use, whilst the compact 50mm blade length makes it suitable for both tight spaces and general joinery work.
