60 1 2 Block Plane

The Faithfull 60 1/2 Block Plane is a compact hand plane designed for single-handed operation on end grain and plastic laminates. Featuring a plane iron set at a low 13.5° angle, this block plane excels at tasks where precision control is essential. The low angle cutter configuration makes this tool particularly effective for working end grain, where steeper angles can cause tearing and splitting. The fully adjustable mouth allows you to adapt the plane for different applications, opening wide for rapid stock removal during coarse work or closing to a narrow setting for taking fine shavings on difficult or awkward grain. Ideal for carpentry and joinery tasks where portability and one-handed control are required, this block plane is well-suited to trimming doors, chamfering edges, and fine-tuning joinery work. The compact 160mm overall length makes it easy to handle in confined spaces whilst the 35mm cutter width provides adequate coverage for general woodworking applications.
