I Hate Valentines Day

I Hate Valentines Day is a romantic comedy written, directed by and starring Nia Vardalos, with John Corbett as her co-star. Set in Manhattan, the film follows a florist determined to keep love uncomplicated—until a new arrival makes her question the rules she has created for herself. 40-something florist Genevieve Gernier has sworn never to go beyond five dates with the same man, allowing her to avoid the complications and risks of a lasting relationship. Her carefully controlled approach is put to the test when she meets Greg Gatlin, a handsome restaurateur who opens a new business near her flower shop. A warm and witty choice for fans of romantic comedies, I Hate Valentines Day combines an engaging love story with the familiar appeal of its My Big Fat Greek Wedding stars.
