Tropic Thunder Single Disc

Tropic Thunder is a 2008 action-comedy directed by and starring Ben Stiller, known for its biting, vulgar satire of Hollywood excesses, the filmmaking industry, and the self-absorbed actors within it. The film's self-aware, meta-commentary on fame and cinematic tropes has cemented its reputation as one of the most audacious and controversial comedies of the 21st century. The film-within-a-film premise follows a cast of mismatched, narcissistic actors shooting an expensive Vietnam War movie. When the production devolves into chaos, the desperate director (Steve Coogan) drops the cast into the jungle with hidden cameras, hoping to capture a more realistic, guerrilla-style film. Unbeknownst to them, they land in the heart of a real drug lord's territory, forcing the actors to put their skills—or lack thereof—to the ultimate test.movie
