1998 Old Thompson Bros Lowland Whisky

70cl / 45.9% / Thompson Bros - This long-aged bottle of Auchentoshan comes to us courtesy of the Thompson Bros. Made up of a pair of red wine casks, this bottling marries the light and delicate triple distilled character of Auchentoshan with the rich fruity character of the red wine cask maturation. On the nose there are aromas of sweet grains, fruit, and chocolate, giving the impression of trail mix in a glass. On the palate this translates to the nutty flavours of oxidized wine, maltiness, along with herbal and floral note
