The chain was founded in Dublin in 1969 by Arthur Ryan and belongs to Associated British Foods plc, with a UK base in Reading. Primark Cares
The sustainability programme reports that 74% of its clothing uses recycled or more sustainably sourced fibres. Targets include removing single-use plastics and making all clothes recyclable by design by 2027, and halving carbon emissions by 2030. There is no direct student discount, but students can buy discounted gift cards through Student Beans.
