Moving your NHS prescriptions
Sign up on the website or app and nominate Pharmacy2U as your pharmacy. Prescriptions then come straight from your surgery via the NHS Electronic Prescription Service. Using the service is free, and you pay only the standard NHS charge of £9.90 per item unless you are exempt. An NHS Prepayment Certificate can be used as well.
Delivery timing
NHS prescriptions travel free by Royal Mail Tracked 48 and usually arrive 2 to 3 working days after leaving the pharmacy. Allow 10 working days from ordering, since your GP must approve the request first. Parcels can go to any UK address, including a workplace, in discreet packaging.
Private doctor and shop
Online Doctor consultations lead to private prescriptions where suitable. The shop side covers first aid, personal care, vitamins, supplements and over-the-counter medicines. Dispensed medicines cannot be returned for safety reasons, so check an order before confirming it. Card payments are taken for private items, and students can verify through Student Beans or UNiDAYS for a reduced price.

How early should I reorder?

Can I return medicine I no longer need?
