Mysterium VPN
Mysterium VPN is a subscription VPN from Vilnius, Lithuania, run by UAB MN Intelligence. Instead of datacentre servers, it routes traffic through a decentralised network of residential IP addresses in over 100 countries. That makes connections look like ordinary home broadband, which helps get past VPN blocks. One account covers up to 15 devices.
About Mysterium VPN
How it works
Your traffic leaves the network through real home connections supplied by a community of users, rather than a server farm. The service uses the WireGuard protocol. A kill switch blocks the connection if the VPN drops out, keeping your real IP address hidden. Apps cover Android, iPhone, Mac and Windows, and there is an extension for Chrome.
Who it suits
It is aimed at people who stream region-locked content, gamers, travellers and anyone protecting smart devices at home. Fifteen simultaneous connections suit a household with plenty of phones, laptops and smart devices. The company says it does not track or log what you do.
Plans and refunds
Subscriptions run monthly, yearly or for two years, and access starts as soon as you pay. Nothing is shipped. A 7-day money-back guarantee gives a full refund if you are unhappy within a week of first buying. Support is available around the clock, including by email. Visa, Mastercard and PayPal are accepted.
